Welcome to Osborne Wood Products, Inc. We specialize in providing you with the right table leg, corbel, bed post, or other decorative turning for your projects.
Leon and Janice Osborne are the founders of Osborne Wood Products, Inc. A garage on Parkway drive in Toccoa, GA was the place where business activity started in 1979. Since then the company has grown with customer service being the priority. In the beginning the company specialized in custom cabinetry and sub contract furniture. By 1990 it was apparent that the company needed to broaden its services because of perceived market need. At that time the company added a lathe and carving machine to offer both stock and custom legs to a growing national market. The company adhered to the slogan ''no order is to small'' in selling to this custom oriented market.
By 1994 the company was moving forward with great anticipation of a bright future only to be devastated by a fire loosing 90% of its facility as well as 100% of its machinery, computers, and raw materials. It was only due to faith in God, the determination of its employees, community support, as well as the commitment of dedicated suppliers that the company was able to recover from such a devastating set back.
In 1994, Leon Osborne recognized a need for decorative turnings for the kitchen. His creation of the Classic Reeded Island and The Islander styles forever identified Osborne Wood Products, Inc. as ''the kitchen island leg'' people.
Today Osborne supplies hobbyists and cabinet makers with high quality decorative components for a variety of projects.
