Uniquely situated on 176 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeast Georgia, Camp Toccoa is a traditional summer camp boasting forested trails, waterfalls, a lake, high and low ropes courses, swimming pool, an environmental education center, dining hall, the historic Tasnena lodge, and a state-of-the-art riding stable.
Our coed programs for young people entering grades 1 to 12 offer a variety of fun and challenging activities. Our energetic staff, many of whom were campers themselves, are dedicated to helping campers learn about themselves and the natural world around them.
Evening activities include theme nights, dances, talent shows, pool parties, cookouts and camp outs. Every camper will have the opportunity to cook a meal over an open fire and sleep under the stars (weather permitting). Each session ends with a traditional Council Fire.
For older campers who want to take it to the next level, our Adventure Camp is perfect! Campers will challenge themselves on our high and low ropes courses, practice living and cooking outdoors, and learn to work together as a team.
Day campers at Camp Toccoa get to experience all the same fun and adventure as resident campers and still spend the night at home.
Campers going into first and second grades participate in a special schedule of activities which are fun and challenging. Hand arts, drama, games and hiking may be included in every week long session. Swimming lessons and recreational swimming are included in their daily schedule. Theme week activities are done each day.
