About
Hospice is a special form of care that is designed to provide comfort and support for those who are facing a life-limiting illness. It promotes dignity and affirms quality of life which allows the patient, family, and their loved ones to make choices about what is important to them.
Any individual with a terminal illness such as Heart Disease, Pulmonary Disease, Dementia, Alzheimer's, HIV/AIDS, or Cancer is considered eligible for hospice.
All services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at no cost to the patient or family when the hospice benefit is chosen.
Patients may keep their personal physicians while under our care.
Also, we are always looking for volunteers who are willing to give just a few hours of their time per week. There are many ways to volunteer for Amedisys Hospice. Contact Brandy for more information. -
