Job Description

40 hours a week Monday – Thursday

Three-day weekend off



North Georgia Technical College is seeking a service-oriented Kitchen Assistant to help deliver best-in-class dining experiences to students, employees, and the community.  A NGTC Kitchen Assistant will assist in food preparation including washing, chopping, slicing vegetables and fruits, handle, transfer, and store food items safely, and assist with serving meals. Operate industrial kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens and fryers. Operate a dishwasher, clean and sanitize dishwashing area. Clean, sanitize, and organize workstations. Set up and stock kitchen, dining room and line stations. Break down workstations, including cleaning floors and trash removal. Assists in completing weekly maintenance checklist. Position requires standing/walking up to 10 hours a day, ability to lift to 50lbs. Minimum Qualifications:

Kitchen experience helpful and will train.

Time management and following directions

Basic computer skills



Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  Benefits include retirement, paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
