Name: Absolutely Incredible Kid Day Community Breakfast
Date: March 15, 2018
Time: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM EDT
Event Description:

Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® (AIKD) is a national holiday founded by Camp Fire in 1997 to lift up the kids and teens in our lives.

Every year, on the third Thursday of March, millions of adults write notes, emails, letters, texts, etc, with words of encouragement to the amazing youth they know.

The next AIKD® is March 15, 2018.

Join Camp Fire, our 54 councils (locally Camp Fire Georgia), and our corporate and philanthropic partners March 15, 2018!  Along with an online digital campaign, there will be dozens of in-person events across the country.  Camp Fire Georgia will be hosting an AIKD Community Breakfast to recognize absolutely incredible kids right here in Stephens County and celebrate the adults who are championing their efforts.  This years adult Spark Champions are Shantelle Grant (Toccoa-Stephens County Library), Dana Walker (Para-Professional at Big A Elementary and Camp Fire After School Teacher), Mark Mendoza (Boys and Girls Club of Toccoa-Stephens County) and Megan Wilhoit (Toccoa Little Legue).  The breakfast will be held at Reflections at Lake Toccoa on March 15 from 7:30 until 9:00 AM.  Tickets are available at www.campfirega.org for individuals and businesses.  There are also sponsorship opportunities for community organizations and businesses.

AIKD is a simple, meaningful way to let youth know how much they are appreciated. Words are powerful – young lives are changed by this day and the simple act of love, and kindness. Join us!

Camp Fire Georgia is partnering with Stephens County Schools.  We need the help of local businesses and organizations to write letters of encouragement and inspiration to  youth in our community.  Camp Fire will deliver the letters to local schools on AIKD March 15.  The official AIKD stationary can be downloaded from our website or we can deliver stationary to businesses and organizations.  Letters can be dropped off at Camp Toccoa.  Call 706.886.2457 or email gcampbell@campfirega.org with any questions. Help us make sure our local youth know how much they are appreciated.  Recognize the absolutely incredible kids in your life by posting a letter to them and take a few minutes to write a letter to another child…..you can help change a life!
