Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® (AIKD) is a national holiday founded by Camp Fire in 1997 to lift up the kids and teens in our lives.
Every year, on the third Thursday of March, millions of adults write notes, emails, letters, texts, etc, with words of encouragement to the amazing youth they know.
Join Camp Fire, our 54 councils (locally Camp Fire Georgia), and our corporate and philanthropic partners March 15, 2018! Along with an online digital campaign, there will be dozens of in-person events across the country. Camp Fire Georgia will be hosting an AIKD Community Breakfast to recognize absolutely incredible kids right here in Stephens County and celebrate the adults who are championing their efforts. This years adult Spark Champions are Shantelle Grant (Toccoa-Stephens County Library), Dana Walker (Para-Professional at Big A Elementary and Camp Fire After School Teacher), Mark Mendoza (Boys and Girls Club of Toccoa-Stephens County) and Megan Wilhoit (Toccoa Little Legue). The breakfast will be held at Reflections at Lake Toccoa on March 15 from 7:30 until 9:00 AM. Tickets are available at www.campfirega.org for individuals and businesses. There are also sponsorship opportunities for community organizations and businesses.
AIKD is a simple, meaningful way to let youth know how much they are appreciated. Words are powerful – young lives are changed by this day and the simple act of love, and kindness. Join us!
